Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked today with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Serbia, Jaewoong Lee, about deepening bilateral cooperation and partnership relations, primarily in the field of economy.
Brnabic expressed confidence that during the mandate of Ambassador Lee, the two countries will succeed in improving and expanding cooperation in the field of IT industry, in which Korea achieves exceptional results and can greatly contribute to the development of this sector in Serbia.
The Prime Minister assessed that the Serbian-Korean Information Centre in Belgrade is an example of cooperative work of our countries so far, expressing gratitude to the Embassy and the government of the Republic of Korea for their support in digitalisation and improvement of electronic public administration services in Serbia.
Ambassador Lee stated that the future is in the development of “smart cities” in order to improve the quality of life of citizens and that there is room for partnership between the two countries in this area.
He assessed that there is an increased interest of Korean companies in investing in the Serbian market, and the Embassy's plan is to continue promoting Serbia as an investment destination.
