Ambassador Grbić Leads Diplomatic Corps Visit to the City of Suwon | Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Republic of Korea

At the initiative of H.E. Nemanja Grbić, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Korea and Secretary of the Council of the Diplomatic Corps, a delegation of diplomats consisting of ten ambassadors visited the city of Suwon, the administrative and economic center of Gyeonggi Province.

Suwon, which holds the legal status of a special city, is home to the famous Hwaseong Fortress — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — as well as the headquarters of Korea’s largest company, Samsung. The visit was organized on the occasion of the Hwaseong Cultural Festival, one of the country’s most prominent events.

During the official program, Ambassador Grbić emphasized the importance of Hwaseong Fortress as a symbol connecting the past and the future, and presented Mayor Lee Jae-jun with a commemorative plaque from the Council of the Diplomatic Corps in recognition of his contribution to international cooperation.
