Ambassador Grbić Panelist at the World Esports Summit in Busan

At the invitation of the Global Esports Federation, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Korea Nemanja Grbić participated as a panelist in Busan at the World Esports Summit 2025, the leading international conference dedicated to esports, held with the support of institutions of the Republic of Korea and the City of Busan.

 

Ambassador Grbić spoke on the "Esports & Diplomacy" panel, emphasizing that esports can act as a "diplomatic accelerator," enabling faster connection between youth, institutions, and states. He stressed that esports should be integrated into the operational strategies of diplomatic and consular missions, and that Serbia, drawing on its strong sporting tradition, has the potential to successfully develop its sports identity in the digital sphere as well.

During the summit, Ivan Dimitrijević, a representative of "EXPO 2027," also presented the concept of the Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 Belgrade, whose program will include content from the field of esports.

The Serbian delegation's stay in Korea was also used for a meeting at the Embassy with Ognjen Drašković, President of the Esports Federation of Serbia, on the further development and international positioning of Serbian esports.
