Ambassador Grbić's Meeting with the President of the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Korea, Nemanja Grbić, received at the Embassy the President of the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade (KIET), Prof. Dr. Kwon Nam-hoon, and discussed opportunities for establishing cooperation.

The discussion focused on the challenges of contemporary industrial policy and the importance of connecting research institutions in order to strengthen economic competitiveness. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of KIET as a key analytical pillar in shaping the industrial strategies of the Republic of Korea.

The Ambassador presented Serbia's economic potential, current investments by Korean companies, and the ongoing negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), with an emphasis on opportunities for cooperation in industry and energy.

The interlocutors expressed their readiness to establish institutional ties between KIET and relevant partners in Serbia, as well as to further deepen economic and research cooperation, including through the EXPO 2027 Belgrade project.
