Continued cooperation on renewable energy with the Republic of Korea

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Korea, Nemanja Grbić, and the Assistant Minister of Mining and Energy for the Electricity Sector, Mr. Radoš Popadić, held a meeting in Seoul with representatives of the South Korean company Hyundai Engineering, a strategic partner of the Republic of Serbia on the project to build self-balancing solar power plants with a total capacity of 1 GW, including battery energy storage systems.
The meeting focused on the progress in preparing project and technical documentation for one of the largest green energy projects in this part of Europe and beyond.
On the Serbian side, it was emphasized that the solar power plants will contribute to a more stable electricity supply across the entire territory of Serbia.
Representatives of Hyundai Engineering also expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Serbia in the development of hydrogen energy and other areas within the energy sector.
