Meeting of Ambassador Grbić with the leadership of the International Esports Federation
During the meeting, it was noted that esports is a growing global phenomenon and a rapidly expanding market, thematically aligning perfectly with the concept of the upcoming World Specialized EXPO in the Serbian capital. In this context, the Ambassador highlighted the mutual benefits of the organization’s participation in the event, which would also serve as an opportunity to establish deeper cooperation with key stakeholders in Serbia’s esports sector.
The IESF was founded in 2008 in Busan, where it is still headquartered today, as the Republic of Korea is one of the global leaders in this field. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to the standardization of esports and its recognition as an official sports discipline. Today, it brings together 146 national associations, including the one from Serbia.
