The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Korea, Nemanja Grbić, met with the President of the Korean Council on Foreign Relations (KCFR), retired Ambassador Lee See-hyung, to exchange views on current foreign policy developments and the enhancement of political and economic relations between Serbia and Korea.

Mr. Lee introduced the Korean Council on Foreign Relations as an independent yet institutionally close community of former diplomats and experts, which serves as a platform for strategic dialogue on key Korean foreign policy issues and maintains close ties with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The discussion covered global challenges, the role of middle powers, and the importance of multilateralism, as well as bilateral cooperation. This included the ongoing negotiations for an Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and the potential for collaboration in the fields of digital transformation and innovation.

A mutual interest was confirmed in continuing contacts and developing institutional cooperation through joint expert gatherings and personnel exchanges.
