Serbian Delegation at the World Smart City Expo in Busan

The World Smart City Expo 2025, a leading regional gathering dedicated to urban innovation and the application of advanced technologies, was held at the BEXCO Convention Center in Busan. The delegation of the Republic of Serbia consisted of Miloš Adamović, State Secretary of the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure, and Nemanja Grbić, Ambassador of Serbia to the Republic of Korea.

During the opening ceremony, Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon presented his vision for the city as a leader in smart solutions, and the delegation of the Republic of Serbia received special recognition for their contribution to international cooperation in this field.

The Serbian delegation visited exhibition zones and key projects including "Eco Delta City," "Smart Village," and "Smart City Lab," showcasing the practical application of technology aimed at improving citizens' quality of life.

In discussions with the hosts, the Serbian representatives highlighted Serbia's priorities regarding smart cities and digital infrastructure. Special attention was given to cooperation with the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA) and the initiative for sister-city relations between Busan and Novi Sad, which is currently in progress.
