Serbian dinar displayed in Korean museum

16. May 2025.
Following last year’s visit by Ambassador Nemanja Grbić to the Gangneung City Museum, the Serbian dinar has officially become part of the museum’s permanent exhibition on world currencies. The donation was made in cooperation with this cultural institution and represents part of the Embassy's efforts in the field of public diplomacy.

As part of the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the design of Serbian currency and the historical significance of the figures featured on the banknotes—Nikola Tesla, Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac, and Nadežda Petrović.

On the occasion of this donation, the Mayor of Gangneung, Kim Hyung-kyu, presented Ambassador Grbić with a plaque of appreciation, emphasizing that this form of cooperation symbolizes the friendship and cultural exchange between Serbia and Korea.
