Success of a Serbian Documentary Film in Korea

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Korea, Nemanja Grbić, received at the Embassy in Seoul film director Maja Novaković, the winner of the main award in the international competition at this year’s Ulsan Ulju Mountain Film Festival for her documentary “At the Door of the House, Who Will Come Knocking.”
The multi-award-winning film, which had its Asian premiere in Ulsan, offers a poetic reflection on humanity, nature, and memory, and has been described by critics as one of the most delicate and visually accomplished works of the festival.
Ambassador Grbić congratulated the director on her success, emphasizing that such recognition contributes to the promotion of Serbian culture and filmmaking in Korea. Director Novaković expressed her gratitude for the reception and praised the excellent organization and hospitality of the festival, noting that the Korean audience showed a genuine understanding of the film’s poetry and message.
